Payment and Cancellation Policy Deposit:A 20% deposit is required to hold your spot for domestic and international trips and courses. 50% of the deposit is refundable until 30 days prior to domestic trips or courses and 60 days prior to international trips or courses. The full deposit amount can also be used as a future credit. No refund of deposit after that.Payment:Full payment is required 30 days prior to scheduled date for domestic trips and courses and 60 days prior for international trips and courses. No refund of full payment after that. If payment is not received 30 (domestic) or 60 (international) days prior to your trip you forfeit your deposit and risk losing your reserved place on the trip or course.Making Payment:You may call the office with a credit card number, stop by our office, pay in full online, or send us a check. Unforeseeable events come up, personal situations change and mountain weather and conditions are unpredictable. Trip cancellation insurance is an inexpensive way to alleviate financial stress in such situations and may allow you to recover substantial financial losses. Here are links to a couple travel insurance companies:http://www.allianztravelinsurance.com/http://www.travelinsure.com/why/tripcancellation.aspRefunds:Course or trip participants are entitled a refund or a credit of 50% of their deposit amount until 30 days prior to trip date for domestic trips and courses and 60 days prior for international trips and courses (minus 50% of deposit if taking a refund). When full payment is due (less than 30 days domestic and less than 60 days international) the full cost of the trip or course is no longer refundable.If one chooses to use it as a credit for a future trip or course it will be for 100% of the cost and can also be used for full retail value in our retail store, Pro Ski and Mountain Service. This must be used within 3 years.General trip and course policies:1. Weather and conditions-If weather, mountain and or travel conditions make the original trip or course objective not feasible, Pro Guiding Service reserves the right to change the venue or itinerary for the course or trip.- If any of the above or related conditions prevents a trip or course from happening the trip will be rescheduled with attempts to fit the group’s schedules.- If none of the proposed dates will fit a participant’s schedule, a credit minus a $50 administrative fee can be issued. We can also offer that same credit for retail price value at Pro Ski and Mountain Service in North Bend (www.proskiservice.com)2. Trip or Course Ratio-All our scheduled trips and courses have a minimum number of participants required to make the trip feasible at that price. If we do not reach that number the trip will not be viable. We can attempt to make the trip go at a future date and/or a refund will be given or the amount can be used as a credit. Please note a 3% transaction fee will be taken for credit card or online payment refunds.3. Pro Guiding Service cannot be responsible for expenses such as airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, etc. incurred by the trip or course participant. Again, we strongly suggest trip cancellation insurance.4.Trip cancellation insurance does not necessarily include rescue insurance. Please know that Pro Guiding Service does not include rescue insurance in their pricing. You might want to consider becoming a member of the American Alpine Club. It is an easy way to get worldwide rescue coverage. http://americanalpineclub.org/p/global_rescue5. No refunds or credits are given for “no-shows” or those who prematurely depart from a trip or course for any reason.6. If registering for a group, the person completing the registration assumes financial responsibility for the entire group. This includes situations where people drop out and change the final numbers or participants. If uncomfortable registering for the group, you should have each member register individually.7. Once a program begins, no refunds will be issued for any reason.8. It is the participants’ responsibility to be physically and mentally prepared. No refunds will be given due to early departure caused by lack of physical or mental preparedness.
