The Snoqualmie Haute Route is a multiday tour that draws the most out of the Snoqualmie Pass region’s hinterlands. The area has an amazingly rugged character, and this tour must be considered very committing. Although the glacial element is missing for the most part, this is more difficult than many a high alpine tour I’ve completed in the region. The terrain is wildly scenic, the skiing is challenging, navigation is demanding, and the total vertical gain is taxing. Still, you’re never more than 24 kilometers (15 miles) from Snoqualmie Pass.
