This tour around the dominating peak of the Alpental valley has all the elements to become a classic: beautiful ski descents, somewhat committing terrain, considerable vertical gain, picturesque surroundings, and a natural line of travel. The tour is described via the Chair Peak north slope descent, but should be done in the reverse direction in spring conditions. The described way offers nicer ski descents, but the reverse is less committing in questionable weather and lets you stay ahead of the sun later in the season.
